l Q1: How are ranks determined for selection into each division? As you well know, our ranks are quite different from Korean ranks (and ranks on the various internet sites have huge variations). Should players have established a rank on the DashnDot site first?
l Q2: How does a team register?
l Q3: Is there any citizenship requirement?
l Q4: Are professional players accepted?
l Q5: When are the finals to be played?
l Q6: How will players agree on the playing time (for example when a player in Korea plays with a player in Europe)
l Q7: I note that the Dash client is only available for Windows - pity, a lot of us use Macs (or unix boxes). In fact the percentage of Mac users on Go servers such as KGS or IGS is quite high (MUCH higher than would be indicated by sales, I believe approaching 20%) and then there are the unix users. A Java client would be a good idea.
l Q8: How many rounds will there be? When will the games be played?
l Q9: As European clubs are small, it is sometimes difficult to find three people of the same rank for the internet tournament. Would it be allowed to form teams of e.g. 1kyu-4dan players?

l Q1: How are ranks determined for selection into each division? As you well know, our ranks are quite different from Korean ranks (and ranks on the various internet sites have huge variations). Should players have established a rank on the DashnDot site first?
l A1: Players from America, Australia and some non-European countries should degrade about 1 level (stone), which might match their strength with the Korean and European strength. I strongly recommend to establish a rank on the Dashn. Site beforehand.

l Q2: How does a team register?
l A2: Fill out the application form enclosed here.

l Q3: Is there any citizenship requirement?
l A3: When the winning team members are invited to Korea as a prize, they will be asked to hold their national passport. Besides that, it is free to form a team regardless the nationality unless he is not a club member.

l Q4: Are professional players accepted?
l A4: No, only amatuers can compete in the chamionships

l Q5: When are the finals to be played?
l A5: We are planning to start the 1st championships on the 7th Feb 2004. So finals might be played around 1st week of May.

l Q6: How will players agree on the playing time (for example when a player in Korea plays with a player in Europe,
l A6: The playing time has to be decided between the team captains.

A Java client would be a good idea.
l A7: Unfortunately, we are not compatible with Macs or unix at this stage. Therefore you have to use windows to join the club competition.

l Q8: How many rounds will there be? When will the games be played?
l A8: It will be decided and announced when submission of application completed

l Q9: As European clubs are small, it is sometimes difficult to find three people of the same rank for the internet tournament. Would it be allowed to form teams of e.g. 1kyu-4dan players?
l A9: Yes, it is allowed to team up 3 different level players in a team unless the gap between the players is too far. Eg. 5kyu~4dan
